Crankin T-Jet
by Steve(leadsledder)

Heres a few tips I have for the T-jet gearheads out there. The first
consists of weight lose on the chassis. On the sides start by trimming the
plastic out between the magnet housings to almost the bottom of the pan.Be
carfull not to trim out the magnet retainers. This will reduce weight and aid
in more air flow around the motor for cooler running. On the top gear
plate, trim from the motor gear to front an 1/8 inch slot and trim off the top
side rails form the gear out, leaving you with 2 small rails on the front part
of the gear plate. On the gears, drill 5 holes about 3/32 through the gears(the
2 big gears). This will reduce weight and help in gear drag. The pinion can be
swapped with a spare motor gear for a 14 tooth pinion for better
performance.(the crown will need to be trimmed a little for this swap).Use
the new brass independent fronts and brass sleeves for weighted
frontend.Helps in cornering and hopping out of the slot.I have tryed both
slipons and silly foams on the rear and both work great for performance.Use
superII mags, new thunder brushes, silver tuff ones shoes, and a mean green arm
with these tweeks and have an awsome t-jet that will amaze you.If you are
wanting more try superII brush barrels and t-jet pickup spings in place of
the stock brushes.(thats an old trick for the young ones).
